Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
$400
Your initial psychiatric intake appointment is a comprehensive, in-depth evaluation designed to help us fully understand your concerns, history, and goals. This visit is more extensive than what most insurance plans allow for, which is why it lasts 60–90 minutes and is offered outside of insurance networks.
During this appointment, we will explore:
Your current symptoms and what brought you to care
Your psychiatric, medical, and family history
Past treatment experiences, response to medications, and any concerns you may have
Lifestyle factors, stressors, and strengths
A full risk and safety assessment
We will also discuss:
Medication options when appropriate
Laboratory testing for medical conditions that may affect mental health
Pharmacogenomic testing (genetic testing related to medication response) when clinically indicated or requested
At the end of the visit, we will collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your values, goals, and needs. This may include medication, therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, or coordination with other providers.
My goal is to create a thoughtful, supportive, and thorough foundation for your care so that we can move forward with clarity and intention.

50-Minute Follow-Up
$225
A 50-minute follow-up appointment offers a more in-depth and comprehensive approach to your ongoing care. This extended visit allows us to slow down, explore your concerns thoroughly, and make thoughtful decisions together without feeling rushed. It’s an excellent choice if you’re considering a medication change, navigating more complex symptoms, or simply prefer a more spacious and collaborative experience.
During this appointment, we will:
Take time to understand how you’ve been feeling since your last visit
Explore your symptoms in greater detail and discuss any new or evolving concerns
Provide extensive education about medication options so that you feel empowered to make informed decisions
Review potential benefits, risks, and alternatives in a clear and supportive way
Engage in brief psychotherapy to help you process challenges, patterns, or emotional stressors
Collaboratively create or refine your treatment plan with intention and clarity
This longer follow-up is ideal if you value having more time to ask questions, understand your options, and feel fully heard. It provides the space needed for deeper conversation, thoughtful medication adjustments, and meaningful emotional support.
If you appreciate appointments where you can slow down, explore, and not feel rushed, a 50-minute follow-up is a wonderful fit.

30-Minute Follow-Up
$150
A 30-minute follow-up appointment provides focused, efficient support for ongoing medication management and monitoring your progress. While there is space for brief psychotherapy, the primary aim of this visit is to assess how you’re responding to treatment, address any side effects or concerns, and make adjustments as needed.
During this appointment, we will:
Review your symptoms since the last visit
Discuss how your current medication is working for youExplore any side effects or changes you’ve noticed
Make medication adjustments when appropriate
Check in on mood, functioning, and overall well-being
Provide brief therapeutic support to help you navigate challenges that arise between visits
This type of follow-up is the best fit for individuals with more straightforward or stable needs, who are doing well on their current treatment plan or require minimal adjustments. It ensures consistent, attentive care while keeping appointments focused and manageable.
My goal is to help you stay steady, supported, and aligned with your treatment goals in a clear and intentional way.

Note:
Part of practicing with intention is recognizing where my expertise can best serve you—and where a different level of care is needed. I work confidently and comfortably within many areas of mental health, but I do not treat acute eating disorders or acute substance use disorders. If those concerns arise, I’ll gladly help you find a specialist who can support you with the highest level of care.
No Surprises Act – Consumer Protection Disclosure
Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Billing
The federal No Surprises Act was created to protect patients from unexpected medical bills for out-of-network services—especially in emergency situations or when patients do not have the ability to choose an in-network provider.
Because Kavanah Psychiatry LLC is a self-pay (cash-pay), out-of-network telehealth practice, these protections apply differently; however, federal law still requires that you receive clear, upfront information about your treatment costs.
Good Faith Estimates for Self-Pay Clients
If you are uninsured or choosing to self-pay (which includes all clients at Kavanah Psychiatry LLC), you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your services:
You have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate:
Before scheduling a service
Before receiving a service upon request
For any non-emergency medical or mental health service
Detailing the expected charges for the service type you are seeking
This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to receive care. It is simply meant to help you anticipate costs and make informed decisions.
Your Right to Dispute Charges
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the charge.
You may file a dispute with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS):
Website: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Phone: 1-800-985-3059
You must start a dispute within 120 days of the date on the bill.
Please save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
